ABOUT
Working on this story for 19 years (as of 2023), I have a deep connection to it that can only be conveyed the same way a parent would describe their child—
It's something I have come to adore, to nurture, to be terrified for, to be frustrated by, and to be proud of; all in the same breath.
Dual Balance, conceptualized in 2004 via four rough character and weapon designs, started out as a simple tale of swords and their wielders, and the fight against a cruel force threatening the world of Ogelna. However, after 2017, it quickly started to become so much more, and I would like to summarize it as a story about fate. Or more namely, how we subscribe ourselves to the concept, as well as what we do when we no longer can just coast by on such ideologies and take matters into our own hands—Whether that be the correct choice or not.
We humans always wonder what fate is and what it has in store for us. However, we also will strive to be given choice over destiny. The truth will always lie somewhere in between, but we are beings granted the liberty to decide for ourselves what these concepts mean to us, and how we let them affect our lives.
Whatever choice you make, I hope you come to enjoy your time in the world of Ogelna.
And with my most sincere gratitude,
thank you, my muses.
